Ministry today is different than just a decade ago. Many of the methods that were successful then, don’t work today. How can a pastor effectively establish relationships with their youth or congregation when people today are so transitory and non-committal? How can pastors make a positive impact into lives with only two hours a week of influence? Secular cultural “truths” have replaced Biblical Truth for many people and especially youth today, which can create luke-warm and mislead Christians.
Pastors and Youth Leaders need concentrated time with their congregations and youth in order to build the relationships necessary for making a positive influence. OTEA provides experiences that; challenge people to look at who they believe they are and who God says they are, bond groups together in biblical community, apply their learning to “real life” back home, and are fun!
